im looking to get an argus monitor, i have experience with large aggressive reptiles, i worked at my buddys reptile shop before he closed it, ive watched his nile monitor for about for about 3 months (he was about 4 ft and mean as hell) and i own an alligator and a snapping turtle. so how is an argus monitor compared to a nile monitor in temperament and handling wise.Argus monitor temperament?
They can be come tame, way more so than a nile. You can get captive bred ones from NERD. That would be your best bet to start with. Alot of handling and time and they can become great pets. Just remember all monitors are very smart, so you need to make sure you are ready for a monitor that gets big and is smart.
