The easiest and best method to download photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are quite cheap these days).

Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card.

Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.

It will show up as a drive, and you can simply drag and drop the photos across to the folder of your choice.

Are you plugging the camera into the computer ? If so and that doesn't work try taking out the memory card and putting it into the computer itself. If your computer doesn't have a card reader built in you can get one for really short cash maybe $10-$20. Once you have that the SD card from your camera should show up as a Drive under "My Computer" if you have windows or right on the desktop if you have a Mac. From there you can just drag and drop the photos to wherever you like. I suggest creating a folder with the date the photos were taken so that you can find them later. Stay organized. you will be glad you did. Good Luck. How do I get pictures from my camera when its an "unrecognized device"?
most of the better drug stores now have crossover boxes due to all the new computer cameras out were they can match many of the unknown types to a real picture setting without the use of a computer
