Final Fantasy 3 Medusa or Argus?

I currently have what seems to be 2 storys on at the same time, i'm able to go into the owen tower and fight Medusa (i know how to get ot her etc...) but i've tried twice and both times i've been beaten, what is the best type of team to go up against her?

Next I've spoken to the people in that destroyed village and i was in the west desert to them and I can see a tornado thing but how do i meet the Argus army and rescue the villagers?Final Fantasy 3 Medusa or Argus?
The stuff with Argus won't begin until after the events involving Medusa, so you must take care of her first.



With Medusa, you'll need a healer to keep everyone's HP up; a White or Red Mage would be okay for that. Otherwise, just send your best attackers at it and Medusa will eventually fall. Should anybody fall victim to a status effect, use one of the attackers to pull out the appropriate item and heal the affected, so that the healer can continue to heal.



After Medusa is defeated, it is highly recommended that you save before entering that village, as once you enter from there you'll be forced to enter a dungeon you can not escape from without beating.
