Numbers, like letters, are symbols. Irrational numbers needn't be tied to a line. Again, symbols. We communicate, whether in mathematics or in any other language, because we have agreed upon symbols. On the other hand, mathematicians have a very structured set of rules for communication, and while neither you nor your author friend might understand what the mathematician is communicating, his/her contemporaries understand.
It is very easy to accuse someone that we don't understand of not understanding him- or herself. Ask a mathematician. This author argus that mathematicans dont even know wat a number is therfore not know what they r taking about
If you want to post spam, good spelling would help. This author argus that mathematicans dont even know wat a number is therfore not know what they r taking about
a number is a sign given to group or singular thing making it more or less then the other thing
Numbers are abstract thoughts as are mathematics so Yes I agree with what you are saying. Abstract thoughts can not be proven they can only be accepted as true or false. And the momet you prove one abstract thought false, say the number seven, is the moment you unravel mathematics like a cheap piece of cloth.
