Pentax k1000 or Argus C3?

So I have an interest in film photography and I've been looking at 35mm film cameras for a while now. I have boiled down my choices to either getting the Pentax K1000 or the Argus C3. Which of the two do you think would be best for a beginner photographer to purchase?Pentax k1000 or Argus C3?
The Argus 'brick' C3 is a quirky, fun little rangefinder. The K1000 is the prototype student SLR. If you want to be pedantic about it, pick the Pentax I suppose. The K1000 can be the core of a much more advanced system than the C3 can dream of (macro lenses, long tele lenses, etc.) If you already use a digital SLR as your primary platform, the Argus is probably the nicer camera to have on the side.

Frankly, if you don't have the cash to buy both of these inexpensive cameras in one bold move, you should consider if this is the right time to start with film photography at all... you don't want the sound of a cash register going off in the back of your mind every time you press the shutter release. It takes all the fun out of photography.Pentax k1000 or Argus C3?
No contest - Pentax every time.
