Yes, they work. However, there are small risks ( for lack of a better word ). I work at an auto auction. Actually I've worked for 2 different ones in the last year. One of the auctions had a 'lane' blocked off inside the building. I happened to open the door one day and there sat a 308 GTS Ferrari, red! But, someone had took the dual overhead cam V-8 engine out and replaced it with a small V-6 unidentified one and I'm guessing it wasn't the person it was seized from. Also, there were other seized vehicles there; trucks, boats and a few more. I drove the truck and boat through the Federal auction. This was the small auction. I work the largest in USA today and will be leaving for work shortly.
Yesterday, there was a sign on the entrance to the auction block area(s) apart from the main ( very large front ) office. The sign didn't mention they were having a Federal seized vehicle sale, it was more like "we're having a special auction and all sales will be final, no arbitration ( arguing after purchases ), you get what you see, etc. I'm guessing this is similar to said auction(s)
MackDo government repo auctions really work? Has anyone ever bought a vehicle from that or from an online site?
I wouldn't. It's mostly, what you see is what you get no guarantees. Buyer beware
