Do you have to pay a "sales tax" when you win a $4.6 billion government auction?

With all the hoopla about the FCC/US government auctioning off the 700mhz band, I wondered if the winner will have to pay a sales tax on top of such a sale. Not that I'm planning on putting a bid in with my extra change under my couch ;) I assume not right?Do you have to pay a "sales tax" when you win a $4.6 billion government auction?

Unless they pay cash and the FCC doesnt report it. :)Do you have to pay a "sales tax" when you win a $4.6 billion government auction?
As far as i know you do. But if they can afford a 4.6 million purchase then sales tax probably aren't a huge concern for them LOL
