How do I find out about what the local government is auctioning off?

I know there are some really great deals to be taken advantage of at local car/house auctions of seized property, but every website I go to for the information about it makes you join their site/pay for membership. That has "scam" written all over it. Is there a way to get a list for free off the internet or elsewhere?

Thanks! How do I find out about what the local government is auctioning off?
Under the Local Government Code, Local Governments can auction non-serviceable equipment or materials. This is submitted to the auditor for pre-inspection and later, the auction will be published in newspapers.

There is a bidding process during the auction, the highest bidder will take the auctioned material/s.

To find out what local government is auctioning off, contact the local Auditors office or the General Services Office, they usually have the list of materials to auctioned. How do I find out about what the local government is auctioning off?
