So my questions are: If I buy a car from them do i have to pay for all of it right away? and Do i have to have a license to go to the auctions?
Also..They have AMAZING deals I MEAN AMAZZZZZING! but is there down side to it?Questions about government auctions?
First of all, there are several types of government auctions. There are auctions of government surplus vehicles, which are vehicles that were used by a government agency and have now been retired. Old police cars, fire department vehicles, public works vehicles, and other government cars and trucks would be in the surplus auction.
There are auctions of impounded and / or seized vehicles. These vehicles have been taken from the owner or abandoned. Usually these vehicle have problems.
Some government agencies hold their own auctions, some hire auction companies to hold the auction (or include their vehicles in an existing public auction.
At any auction you will have to pay for your purchase either right then, or within a short time frame. (usually 24-48 hours)
Public auctions do not require you to have a dealer license, but the title to the vehicle will be assigned to you. You will have to get a title in your name if you want to resell the car.
Do not believe that there are amazing deals at these auctions. If the deals were that great, dealers would be flocking to these sales. If there are good deals, you know the professionals are going to take advantage of them.Questions about government auctions?
You can get pretty good deals at a government car auction. The only thing about any auction you attend is that the cars don't come with a warranty. You also have to pay for the car in full. But, you don't need a license to attend and most of them are free to go to.
