i have been doing research on car auctions, sites such as www.gov-auction.org show that cars such as a 2007 mitsubishi eclipse sold for $3500 is this true, and are these deals prevelant, if you have bought a car from one these auctions, can you tell me your price paid compared to the retail value of the carHas anyone bought a car from a government auction?

It's not true. I went to an actual government auction in Chattanooga and prices were through the roof.
Ex, 1998 Ford Contour - $2,500
1995 Ford Aerostar - $2,000
1995 Ford Econoline - $2,800
Government auctions will primarily contain Fords, Chevrolet's and Dodge. They mainly sell fleet vehicles. I would never do an online government auction because most are scams.
