I see a lot of websites advertising government used car auctions? are these sites dependable?

Has anyone purchased a car from one of thesesites?I see a lot of websites advertising government used car auctions? are these sites dependable?
No. Waste of time.
Some sites are actually state sites with an auction. Most sites are where you pay them a fee and they'll let you know about cars for sale or at auction.I see a lot of websites advertising government used car auctions? are these sites dependable?
i own a repair shop, and i tried one of their auctions once,,never again will i do this,,the stuff they had at the auction was higher than the car lots,,if you want a corvette with 20 bullet holes in it for 30 thousand dollars there's plenty to choose from, and there sold as is,,no returns either,,i went and didn't see nothing i would have wanted to buy,,if you look at them on line they look good, but up close ,their not,,good luck,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.
Forget the websites. They want your money. All the government auctions are available online. Don't expect any $10 Porsches. Thats what the sites tell you to get your money. I have gotten a few reasonable deals at government auctions. Study ahead of time and know what things are worth. Buyer beware.I see a lot of websites advertising government used car auctions? are these sites dependable?
Years ago my husband called one of these places, and got talked into paying $35 for a book that lists places that hold these auctions. None of them were within a days drive of where we lived, so we never looked into it any further. I have my doubts about whether any of them are legitimate.
