Is it true that Mediterranean diets are among the healthiest in the world?

The Mediterranean diet and the Okinawa diet are two of the healthiest diets in the world.Is it true that Mediterranean diets are among the healthiest in the world?
I would say Mediterranean is one of the healthiest diets in the world. Why? Because they utilize fibrous and vitamin-enriched vegetables that the Western world doesn't typically use in normal dishes. Their meat dishes are also mostly grilled, never fried or slathered with a bunch of dressings and things that contribute salt and calories. Their cooking style involves grilling or cooking things with vegetables that bring out flavor when cooked, instead of adding on sauces and dressings.

They also use a lot of complex carbs, like quinoa, for instance, which is more nutritious than brown rice.



I love Greek and Arabic food- I love Greek because everything is zesty and fresh, mostly vegetables, and Arabic because their meats are cooked in sauteed vegetables. Everything in the Mediterranean diet is much more natural than the Western diet!Is it true that Mediterranean diets are among the healthiest in the world?
