How can i eat like a good mediterranean diet?

what are some good foods and tips and books? How can i eat like a good mediterranean diet?
Although MOST diets aren't good in the long run, this is actually a very healthy and sensible diet!

To answer your question, mainly this diet is comprised of a vast amount of fresh veggies/fruits, lean protein and olive oil.

That's basically it, although this diet does not condone red meats, those are usually once a month on this diet.

This is an excellent layout of the diet; it's an exact Mediterranean diet food pyramid:

Hope this helps, and good luck with it if you try it! :)|||well, mediterranean food is really healthy, not in fat content but the olive oil is supposed to be really god for you! try some sun dried tomatoes etc, or find some recipes on the internet. Good luck!!|||I like the greek recipes the best. Why not just keep it simple wiht fresh fruits and vegetables with slices of cheese and olives. You can't get anything faster and healthier than that. |||Lots and lots of veggies. Goat cheese and olive oil are staples. Kind of high in fat but the greeks live longer than anyone else in the world. And have the least amount of health problems. They only eat meat 2 or three times a week and maybe only one of those times is red meat. That's in a week not a day. Red mean once a week and fish the other couple. Fruits, veggies, and bread rest of the week. I would love to be able to discipline myself to eat like the greeks. Good for you and friggen delicious. Look up there food pyramid. They have one I promise. Good luck = )|||Mediterranean food is all about fresh herbs/ingredients and olive oil and citrus.

Example: grilled fish with fresh basil, tomatoes, olives, olive oil and lemon ect....Keep it simple
