Why kosher? Any cookbook will do, just as long as it doesn't mix milk %26amp; meat in most of it's dishes.
I've starred. I don't know of any Mediterranean cookbooks, but maybe a contact does. Check out the aish.org site - they have recipes (I've tried %26amp; they are good). Maybe they have cookbook references too.
Jews from the Middle East are Arab Jews. The error is that Judaism isn't an ethnicity, it's a religion. So there are Jews of Asian, S. American, Middle Eastern, %26amp; European ethnicities. The ones in the ME, are called Mizrahi %26amp; are Arab Jews. Their first language is Arabic, %26amp; they lived as neighbors with Arabs till they got kicked out. (About 800,000 Arab Jews were kicked out of their homes when Israel as formed. Israel absorbed them.) Judaism is also a family %26amp; community, %26amp; with low intermarriage is still connected to it's semitic roots, but this is how you get Arab Jews.Ok! Look into:"TALK OF THE TABLE KOSHER COOKBOOK". A lot of these recipes were contributed by local Israeli chefs, yet are wholesome and simple to prepare.
